"My mom and dad raced cars and actually met at the racetrack. From then on, it’s pretty much been in my blood. I was supposed to be born on a Saturday, but I didn’t come out, so they went to Riverside Park Speedway. The next morning I came out, because I wanted to know what all the noise was about." ~ Glen Reen
At the age of four, Glen Reen got into his first Go-Kart, but quickly decided this wasn’t enough and told his father that he needed to go faster. When Reen turned five years old, he was able to start racing Quarter Midgets at Little Thompson Speedway (CT) and did so until the age of eight.
Wanting to do something different, the majority of Reen’s racing career was spent in Motocross. From the age of 10 to 18, Reen raced at many different tracks and made his way up through the rankings, but after breaking many bones, Reen decided to go back to his first love, cars.
His move back into a car started out in Shifter Karts, then into Modifieds. Reen ran in the SK Light Modified Series at Stafford Motor Speedway (CT) during the 2006 and 2007 racing seasons.
In 2008, Reen made a name for himself racing in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. With three top-10 finishes and many strong runs, Reen captured the 2008 Sunoco Rookie of the Year Championship.
With a successful first year in the series, Glen Reen is on his way to capturing wins and championships in his future.
